Alpha Infrastructure has acquired the cutting-edge BAMTEC® Evolution system from Progress Maschinen and Automation, a leading manufacturer and developer in reinforcing steel processing machinery and plants.

The BAMTEC® Evolution is a state-of-the-art fully automated production system designed for crafting customized BAMTEC® mesh elements. It consists of a straightening and cutting unit for automated bar production from coils, alongside a welding unit responsible for welding the straightened bars into bespoke BAMTEC® mesh elements. Following welding, the finished BAMTEC® element is promptly rolled onto a roller unit for further processing.

Optimisation and Cost

Our initial step involves optimising the bar lengths for BAMTEC® carpets. With N24, N28, and N32, optimisation permits the utilisation of stock bars or cut-to-length (CTL) bars directly from the mill for customised lengths. For N10 to N20, our advanced BAMTEC® Evolution machine can efficiently utilise coils, enabling the production of BAMTEC® Carpets in any size required.

This optimisation process not only reduces material costs by eliminating the need for bar cutting but also minimises scrap generated during Reo processing. The manufacturing cost of BAMTEC® is offset by savings in material costs (stock) and on-site installation expenses, making delivery of your project quicker and more efficient, with the added benefit of accelerated construction timelines.
